28 | WATERLINE December 2025 BUTCHART MARINE EXPANDS PRESENCE ACROSS ASIA-PACIFIC Butchart Marine Services has continued to strengthen its footprint across the Asia-Pacific region with several major deliveries and new orders in 2025. A seventh Roodberg boat-lifting machine has been delivered in Phuket, with a new 40-tonne hydraulic slipway trailer supplied to one of Thailand’s most established and well-equipped marinas, Phuket Boat Lagoon. The Phuket fleet includes one slewing crane and six slipway trailers. There is also another Roodberg trailer operating in nearby Port Takola Marina in Krabi. As part of the delivery, Butchart Marine provided on-site assembly assistance and staff training. Former Boat Lagoon Executive Director Wicky Sundram CMP said “Throughout the communications and working with Butchart Marine Services, from start until the end, you handled everything very professionally. It was a true pleasure working and communicating with someone with high regard for service and efficiency. I sincerely appreciate everything.” In Fiji, a 47-tonne Roodberg slipway trailer was delivered to Vuda Marina in Fiji, the marinas second Roodberg acquisition, following its purchase of a 40-tonne trailer in 2023. Momentum has continued into the latter part of the year with an order for two 20-tonne self-propelled semi-custom slipway trailers that are in the final stages of engineering and scheduled for delivery in mid-2026.
