SUPERYACHT AUSTRALIA - STEPHEN JOYCE Superyacht Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Joyce as Project Manager for the Brisbane 2032 Marine Project; a long-term initiative aimed at positioning Queensland and the South Pacific as a key superyacht destination in the lead-up to and beyond the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With more than three decades of experience across government, private and not-for-profit sectors, and an extensive background in strategic project delivery, financial management, business development and organisational leadership, Stephen will coordinate industry and government stakeholders to support infrastructure readiness, regulatory alignment and international engagement. AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL MARINE EXPORT GROUP - TOM HILL Rivergate Marina and Shipyard Director, Tom Hill has been appointed to the Board of the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX). Tom succeeds Steve Fisher, who retired after a distinguished tenure representing Rivergate and the Australian superyacht industry. Steve Fisher’s contribution to AIMEX-Superyacht Australia was significant and during his time on the board, he championed initiatives that highlighted Australia’s potential as a superyacht destination, pointing to the industry’s ability to create thousands of local jobs and contribute significantly to gross domestic product. BRITISH MARINE - LESLEY ROBINSON Lesley Robinson OBE has announced she will step down as Chief Executive of British Marine after eight years in the role. A structured transition is underway, with current Chief Finance and Operations Officer Earle Stanner appointed as her successor. Lesley joined British Marine in 2018 and has overseen a period of organisational reform, including governance modernisation, membership strategy development and industry advocacy through the Covid-19 disruption. Lesley was a member of the Global Marina Institute Steering Committee and served on the board of ICOMIA as a non-executive director and Treasurer. On the announcement, Matthew Beckwith, Chair of British Marine said, “I am grateful that Lesley will continue to lead the organisation during the transition and for her consultancy commitment thereafter to further support Earle and the Board. The Board is confident in Earle’s appointment and in the continuity this transition provides.”
