IT WASN’T LONG BEFORE I HAD TO EMPLOY PEOPLE UNTIL THERE WERE 5 OF US CRAMPED IN MY LIVING ROOM. whereby my body was rejecting itself. Underneath all the fatigue there was certainly a drive and ambition to progress my career but I didn’t know how it would all pan out. I started by adopting an integrative approach whereby I changed my lifestyle. No more artificial foods, additives, refined ingredients, alcohol nor intense physical exercise. This really shook things up for me, but I made a habit of it and started to feel better. It wasn’t until my test results were in a normal range that I decided to quit my job and pursue a new journey. Being my early 20’s I was able to to embrace change and take risks, without worry about responsibilities that can come later in life. I’d learnt how good I could feel adopting healthy eating practices, along with lifestyle changes and I wanted others to feel the same. And so it was time for another change. GoodnessMe Box was born. GoodnessMe Box was about getting others just as excited about the delicious natural products out there, free from artificial ingredients, in the form of a subscription box delivered to their door each month. For months I worked on the idea from my tiny apartment and couldn’t believe when I had sold-out in five days from launching. The success of the company was incredible, but at the same time I was always conscious of maintaining my health which I had worked hard on for so long. It wasn’t long before I had to employ people until there were 5 of us cramped in my living room. Five years later I’m so proud of how far the business has come, but it hasn’t been all smooth-sailing or without the support of friends and family. There are days where I find myself totally exhausted, but one thing about me is that I never give up and I wouldn’t trade what I do for anything. I feel pretty lucky that in my early 20s, I was able to find that ’something’ that I love and am so passionate about, to do every day.
