44 J I L L A U S T R A L I A H ow did your passion for fitness start? My passion for fitness started when I was a sophomore in high school. I was a football player (American football) and was told that in order to play at the next level, I needed to put on some weight (apparently I was a little too skinny and undersized for the varsity level). I was then put in touch with a trainer in my hometown and we got to work. It was a brutal process, a lot of painful mornings from waking up sore, and there were a few times were I was thinking this wasn’t for me. Once I started to see the changes my body was making and the strength I was building, I knew the sacrifice was paying off. This is when I became addicted to the process of changing your body and seeing how good you could feel from working on your health and fitness.  Do you have a daily mantra? My daily mantra is to remain positive through affection. You never know who is watching you or feeding off of your energy.
