W O M E N ' S C U L T U R E 45 What are a few tips to start exercising and maintaining your fitness and health?  A few tips I would give if you are just beginning your fitness journey would be to remain patient through the trials and tribulations. When we begin something new, it is so easy to give up on it if we aren’t seeing immediate change. This is our health that we are dealing with and we only have one of them to live...do not give up on it no matter what level of fitness you are starting from.  Also, when it comes to diet and nutrition, make sure to stay consistent, but also make sure to reward your soul every now and then. It’s easy to cheat on your diet but if you know you get to splurge a few times here and there (in moderation) it gives you something to look forward to, work for and also remain sane in the process.  You have teamed up with ICON Fitness - can you please tell us a bit about their products and the technology around iFit? Being able to team up with iFit and be a member of their amazing training program has been such an honor and quite the experience. The machines come equipped with personal, interactive training that has never been done before. As a trainer, we get to take the users on journeys around the world and give the users at home a different perspective on how to workout. From Italy, Thailand, Costa Rica, Patagonia, the Grand Canyon and all the way down south to Antarctica, the options are endless to where you can personally be with your trainer around the world to burn calories.  It has been such a fortunate opportunity to hear some of the life changing stories from the users as well. It keeps you engaged and takes you outside of the monotonous, boring, treadmill workouts, and also makes it impossible to quit or cut your workout short. Is there anything else you would like to add? With how fast and how many new users are jumping on board with iFit, I think soon there will be ways for the trainers to personally invite the users on trips of their own. It’s a fun way to keep everyone engaged, get to know your trainers, and also see the world and what it’s like while we film these workouts. Rewarding loyal customers is also a way to show them our appreciation and gives them a chance to see that we (the trainers) aren’t just hidden behind a screen.
