Harcourts Inside
30 INSIDE Harcourts Self-confidence is still the number one challenge that holds women back in the workplace today. Inspirational Women is about encouraging our women to step to the podium to share their stories of lessons learnedwhilst building a career andmanaging the challenges of life and expectations. It’s about helpingmore women be courageous and understand their value to others looking for rolemodels, mentors, inspiration and advice. These women are not professional speakers, but they are vulnerable and generous andmovingly honest as they talk about real life demands, setbacks and sacrifice. I was fortunate to visit a very special organisation on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia last month. Baby Give Back distributes donated goods tomums in need, families who have escaped domestic violence and youngmothers without support. Carly Fradgley, pictured in the pink shirt, started Baby Give Back in her garage and now runs this full-time operation out of a donatedwarehouse in Robina. What an incredible difference everyday women canmake. Please donate any unwanted baby furniture, clothing or toys or just call in to see for yourself and take a packet of nappies. Trust me youwill leave inspired. Robert Ketjen, Chairman of the Board, Harcourts South Africa (pictured) is the reasonwe were all there. More used to appreciating commercial buildings, Robert can now spot a stroller from20 paces and tell youwhat brand it is! Donating his time every week Robert has become the team’s expert repairman. They love having himaround but nomore than he loves lending a helping hand to such a worthy cause. Instrumental in bringing Harcourts to South Africa, Robert is just one of themany Harcourts leaders and caringmenwho support us. Despite COVID lockdowns and postponements we havemanaged to run three live events thanks to Ambassadors Jacqui Bartholomeusz in Queensland, SamForde in South Australia and Anna Gooch in Tasmania. We had great attendance andwonderful feedback fromall three. Passionate about supporting their community, Harcourts Muggeeraba LynNewcomb and Jodi Russell present a cheque from the Harcourts Foundation.
