22 INSIDE Harcourts Top Kwa-ZuluNatal Agent Day The iconic Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga was the perfect setting for a celebration of our Top Kwa-Zulu Natal Sale Agents. We love celebrating success and the ladies were treated to cocktails in the Lighthouse Bar and a sumptuous 3 coursemeal on the beautiful Oyster Box terrace overlooking themagnificent Indian Ocean. Girl power was the order of the day as the ladies dominated the Top 10 positions in KwaZulu Natal. Congratulations ladies! Top Agent Day –Western Cape, South Africa Recognising and rewarding our leading Sales and Rental / Property Management agents for their hardwork and achievements is such a privilege and always somuch fun! The 50 highest ranked sales agents from ‘21/’22 as well as the leading Property Management agents were treated to special delights and experiences at our three hugely enjoyable andmemorable “2022 Top Agent Days.” These leading agents fromacross South Africa came together and enjoyed great food and drinks, each other’s company andmany laughs were had! New bonds were created and old ones cemented. South Africa…where we take “Fun and Laughter” seriously! As 2022 draws to an end andwe reflect on another memorable year it is hard not to contrast this November with the past two Novembers. This time just feels a lot more normal. In 2020 we still knew very little about Covid and had just come out of our hard lockdown in South Africa. People were still getting gravely ill, and it was very scary. By November 2021 Covidwas still verymuch here, but we were used to wearingmasks, social distancing and travel restrictions. During those years we had record low interest rates and boommarkets. But as 2022 winds down, interest rates are back to pre-Covid levels, themarkets have normalised, andmasks have been consigned to our bottom draws (thank goodness)! 2022 has been amemorable year for many reasons at Harcourts in South Africa. 6 of the 10months so far have been recordmonths. We startedmigrating off H1 (whowould ever have thought!). Auction really gained traction as Harcourts led the way in introducing it to South Africa’s residential propertymarket. Wemade great strides in Digital Marketing and started seeing very promising results. But above all this, the one thing that stood out for me in 2022 was the return of our Events. The lifting of Covid restrictionsmeant that we had record numbers at HX, Regional Awards and Business Leader Events. People desperate for a dose of the Harcourts culture flocked back to our first full HX for 2 years. Awards just seemed tomean a littlemore than they used to. I guess the one thing we always took for grantedwas being able to get together at Events. After that was taken away, our appreciation for spending time together and celebrating together was just so amplified. Let’s hope it never gets taken away again.
