Where are you from originally?

I was born and bred in Narrabri.

My parents, Ronald and Shirley

Price had the property “Waterfall”

out at Wee Waa and we moved

into Narrabri when I was young.

Away from Narrabri, I have lived

in Brisbane, Newcastle and China.

My ex-husband was managing

a Cargil operation over there. I

came back to Narrabri in 2008.

What did you do before?

Before I bought the T Table

I was doing voluntarty work

with Narrabri Hospital Kiosk,

St Vincent de Paul Conference

(which is the welfare side of the

charity) and the One of a Kind

shop in Narrabri. I also look after

children every Thursday at the

Christian Outreach Centre. I am

still rostered on with all of these

organisations. Up until May I was

working a couple of days a week

at Watsons Kitchens and had been

doing this for a few years.

When did you buy T-Table Cafe?

I took over on the 18th of June

this year. I had always wanted

to own a Coffee Shop and had

looked at a few over the years but

never followed through with it.

What changes have you made?

Hardly any. There hasn’t been a

need to make any changes. All of

the staff stayed when I took over

and Sarah Hensley is doing a great

job managing the cafe. The only

change has been the introduction

of our new Spring Menu.

What’s an average day involve?

Aside from a bit of bookwork,

I help out in the kitchen when

needed and when I am allowed in

there! (lol) I serve customers, take

orders, clean tables, talk to staff

and customers...

What’s the most enjoyable aspect?

Spending time with the staff...

they are so lovely... as well as our

customers. It is also nice to catch

up with some of the customers

that I have known for years.

What’s your favourite menu item?

The Corn Fritters. I only tried

them for the first time recently.

We serve them with poached eggs,

crispy bacon, spinach, smashed

avocado and salsa verde. They are

a very popular item and I insisted

we keep them on the new menu!

What is something that people

mightn’t know about the T Table?

We have an extensive range of T2

products including loose leaf tea,

tea bags, tea wares and giftpacks

available.

We also offer a catering service.

Anyone organising a function or

gathering for Spring or Christmas

is more than welcome to call in

and discuss their needs.
