For trainee members of our
College there are a number of
additional mechanisms available
to raise issues
The Grievance Policy is a key instrument
that all trainees should be aware
of. The policy outlines a process for
assessing, addressing and raising
concerns. The policy has been recently
updated to strengthen it further and is
available from the College website. We
assess trainee safety via training site
accreditation, and trainee feedback is
an important part of the accreditation
process. An additional instrument is the
Training Assessment of Training Site
assessment where trainees rate and
comment on their training experience.
We urge you to report any and all
incidents, whether experienced or
observed
, through the relevant channels
with your employer or to the College
directly.
I strongly believe that the overwhelming
majority of our members conduct
themselves with the utmost integrity
and respect for others. But this belief
gives us no ground for complacency and
no excuse for inaction. Please take the
opportunity to reflect on these issues
and how each of us may work towards
strengthening a culture of tolerance,
equality and respect within our
workplaces. Each of us can be a leader
in this regard—it is where the success of
our professions and the goal of high-
quality service delivery ultimately lies.
If you wish to discuss an issue or
experience directly with the College
or notify us of an activity in which the
College needs to improve, please let
me know by emailing me on
ceo@ranzcr.edu.auor by contacting one
of the College Grievance Officers as
listed in the Grievance Policy.
I wish to reiterate that the College is
here to support all its members, as we
all have a right to train and practise
our specialties in a truly professional
environment.
Ms Natalia Vukolova
Chief Executive Officer

Results Coming Soon
Since our inaugural member
engagement survey closed earlier
this year we have been hard at
work analysing the responses
received from over 1,100 members.
It is proving to be a powerful
source of insight and ideas, and
will be influential in directing future
College activities and supporting
your needs.
A report summarising the survey
results will be shared with those
who took part very soon, and key
findings will be published in future
issues of
