We encourage you to book

now and be part of The Royal

Australian and New Zealand

College of Radiologists (RANZCR)

67th Annual Scientific Meeting

to be held 13 October – 16

October 2016 at the Gold Coast

Convention and Exhibition Centre

in Queensland, Australia.

Please join us for a conference

that includes an inspirational list of

international speakers, who together

with world-class local presenters will

share their vision of modern imaging

and radiation therapy.

Program Highlights

The Scientific Program has been

finalised and contains an excellent

mix of invited keynote speakers, local

speakers, proffered papers and exhibits.

Radiologists attending the event will

enjoy presentations by keynote speakers

Dr Russell Fritz, Professor Fiona Gilbert,

Professor Meng Law and Dr Claude

Sirlin as well as international guest

speaker Associate Professor Mahesh

Thapa. Supporting and enhancing the

international speaker representation will

be the largest gathering of expertise

from Australian and New Zealand

speakers that has ever been assembled

for a single meeting.

Highlights of the radiation oncology

program will include presentations

from keynote speakers Dr Silvia

Formenti, Dr Colleen Lawton and

Professor William Mendenhall. The

exciting program will also feature

presentations from the current ESTRO

president Professor Yolande Lievens,

interventional radiologist Professor

Andreas Adam and a host of invited

national presenters. Program sessions

will focus on the management of head

and neck, genitourinary and breast

cancers, as well as the emerging role of

immunotherapies used in combination

with radiotherapy.

Lecture topics have been carefully

chosen to be applicable to a wide range

of subspecialists and generalists alike.

Presentations will be offered in a variety

of formats including opportunities

for audience interaction and mock

multidisciplinary sessions featuring

leading surgeons and pathologists.

Social Events

The social program is shaping up to be

an excellent opportunity to catch up

with old friends and network with new

industry colleagues at the numerous

social functions. Keeping within the glitz

and glam of the Gold Coast, the theme

for the Gala Dinner is ‘A touch of bling’,

with delegates encouraged to come

dressed to impress! For those looking

to keep fit while at the conference, the

Targeting Cancer Fun Run will be held

on Saturday morning in Pratten Park,

Broadbeach – just a short walk away

from the Convention Centre. The cost

to participate is $30.00 inc. GST and

the fun run is open to delegates and

guests of delegates (colleagues, family,

friends, etc.). You can register for the fun

run when completing your conference

registration.
