Integricare Occasional Care Centre
Rockdale
Integricare Occasional Care Centre is conveniently
located adjacent to the car park in Rockdale Plaza, is open
between 8.00am – 4.00pm and caters for 29 children per
day aged from 6 weeks to 6 years. Families needing
‘occasional’ hours are able to access up to 6 hours per
week or 24 hours per month, for an hourly rate.
Permanent positions are available for 1-3 days a week
between 8.30am – 3.30pm for a daily fee.

develop his sense of belonging which is so vital to a child’s
development and staff watched him slowly open up like a
beautiful flower.
What an amazing achievement as everyone observed
Connor’s gradual transformation to a happy confident boy
who now waves goodbye to his parents before skipping over to
educators and seeking out the company of his peers.
Our favourite moment came when Connor said “I like this
room”! It is times like this that we realise what an important
and rewarding role we play in children’s lives.
When Connor started at Integricare Occasional Care Centre,
Rockdale he was comforted by the presence of his big
brother by his side every day and was therefore quite
anxious and apprehensive when his brother had to leave for
big school.
Initially Connor was upset without his brother and needed
the comfort and support of his mum before she left and did
not want educators to come too close. Connor would view
everything from a distance and despite encouragement he
did not want to join the group.
Over the following months the educators allowed Connor to
take his time, by being patient and attentive and building
