Welcome to the 2016 SSAA SHOT Expo,
It gives me great pleasure to be able to welcome you to the largest Expo dedicated to the Shooting, Hunting
and Outdoor Trades. The 2016 SSAA SHOT Expo will be the largest event SSAA NSW has ever hosted, and
we’re glad that you are a part of it.
In 2016, we have over 150 individual exhibitors and more than 374 booths. Such is the size and significance of
the SSAA SHOT Expo we have exhibitors travelling from all over Australia, New Zealand, USA, Pakistan and
South Africa.
Our continued successful partnership with the Exhibitions Group headed by Michael Nissen allows the SSAA
SHOT Expo to be taken to another level and provides the opportunity to showcase all that the shooting sports
have to offer.
Our firearms safe handling courses, Working Gundogs from Victoria and the butchering and caping
demonstrations are back in 2016 along with the popular face painting and a jumping castle to entertain all
the family. And of course, we have the always popular Air Rifle, Air Pistol and Archery ranges which are sure
to keep our visitors occupied. This year we’ll also be offering R-Licence assessments as well as the recently
released Introduction to Public Land Hunting course.
The growth in the SSAA SHOT Expo is mirrored by the fact that the safe, fun and unique range of shooting
sports remain one of the fastest growing sports in Australia.
The Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia is active in every state and territory of Australia and has almost
180,000 members nationally. In NSW alone we have over 53,000 members who stretch from Tweed Heads in
the far north, to Broken Hill in the west, Bega in the south and right out to Bondi Beach heading east.

Welcome to the 2016 SSAA SHOT Expo. This year’s event will be held in Sydney, which is made possible with
the support, dedication and professionalism of SSAA National and SSAA New South Wales staff
and volunteers.
Whether you are a weekend or competition shooter, recreational hunter, collector or you simply enjoy the
wonderful world of shooting and the great outdoors, we are certain that this year’s SSAA SHOT Expo will
not only have something for you, but will be the best ever display of our chosen sport and its supports and
