Major events are the essence of Scouting. They provide

the best of the Scouting experience in a concentrated

form. Youth members learn camping, bushcraft,

leadership, teamwork and resilience all in one go. Young

people in Scouting need to attend events, and Scouting

will always need skilled people to organise them.

Josh Smart

South Australian Rover Scout Josh Smart attended the first

National Events Management Course in May 2015, so he could

take on a management role in future Scouting events.

His passion is ensuring Scouting continues to provide

major events young people will benefit from.
