Sport (Note the VSCCWA encourages all car to have secondary fastenings). Pre 1973 cars with front opening

bonnets (i.e. rear hinged) must have an auxiliary bonnet restraint. It must be rigid and not be elastic.

17.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS FOR SPRINTS AND HILL CLIMBS

The general requirement for vehicles is defined in the CAMS Manual General Requirements for Automobiles

Schedules A & B and the CAMS Standing Regulations for Speed Events. Vehicle log books, Club or CAMS, are

preferred, and if a log book exists, it must be presented at scrutineering. Non log-booked vehicles are not acceptable

for Club Championships or trophies.

18.

COMPLIANCE WITH INSTRUCTIONS

18.1.

Failure to follow the direction of any Official will render a competitor liable to exclusion from the Event

and future Events.

18.2.

Any driver whose vehicle makes contact with the primary barrier on any VSCCWA course must report

to the Clerk of Course of the day, as soon as possible thereafter, and provide an explanation of the circumstances

that led to the contact. If the contact is considered as being avoidable or reckless the Clerk of Course may exclude

the competitor from the remainder of the Event. The decision of the Clerk of Course of the day on such a matter

shall be final.

If the vehicle damage is minor, and subject to being checked by the scrutineers, the vehicle may be allowed to

participate in further events on the day.

18.3.

The Clerk of Course may refer a competitor or official to the Ambulance / First Aid Post in attendance

should the Clerk of Course form the opinion the competitor or official is unfit to take part in the Event. The Clerk

of Course may, on the medical advice of the Ambulance / First Aid post personnel, exclude a competitor or an

official from taking any further part in the Event.

19.

PENALTIES:

19.1.

Any entrant or competitor in breach of the National Competition Rules of CAMS or the 2016 VSCCWA

Standing Regulations or Supplementary Regulations for that event may be charged by the Clerk of Course of the

Meeting and regardless of any penalty that may be imposed by the Stewards of the meeting, be penalised by being

excluded from the Event and subsequent Events until such time as the offending party has completed, and had

recorded, that he/she has officiated at another significant VSCCWA event.

19.2.

A Regularity Trial is NOT A RACE against another car, but is a test of driving skill to lap at a consistent

pre-nominated time. Drivers not participating in the Events in manner consistent with the principles of regularity

may be black-flagged and may face penalties, as determined by the Clerk of Course.

19.3.

Any Entrant/driver possessing a logbook (CAMS or VSCC) must bring the book to each event and be

prepared to present it to an Event Official on request.

19.4.

Any driver observed cutting corners, dislodging corner markers or spraying gravel or dirt onto the track

surface may have five seconds added to the time for the lap/run relating to the incident. The Clerks of Course and

their assistants, and other officials appointed at the Event by the Clerk of Course shall be a Judge of Fact for such

incidents.

20.

PROTESTS

Any protest must be lodged in accordance with the Provisions of Part XII of the NCR's.

21.

HILLCLIMB / SPRINT CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

The VSCCWA Club Championship will be held over 5 rounds as detailed in the attached Appendix 1.

Club Championship Points will be allocated on an event by event basis. These will be awarded on class & capacity

on the basis of 10 points for 1st, 9 points for 2nd, 8 for 3rd etc. All vehicles will require a current logbook to be

eligible for Championship points. One additional point will be allocated for the fastest time of the day.

A competitor is only eligible for a Club Championship Trophy where a competitor has competed in 3 or more

Club Championship events in the same vehicle. Points may be substituted for one event at the discretion of the

Competition Secretary.

The Peter Briggs Club Hill-climb Champion Trophy

will be presented to the person who scores the highest

aggregate points.

The Pre 1960 Hillclimb Champion Trophy

will be presented to the Driver competing in a pre-1960 vehicle that

scores the highest aggregate points.
