27 Burning Palms Surf Life Saving Club Inc. – 86th Annual Report – 2024-2025 Season We could have lost the Boat House (Again!) From never seen before high tides and massive swells running up to the back of the beach. It was decided on arrival at Burning Palms by Geoffrey Phillips to vacate the gear and equipment from the Boat House as it was looking like at high tide approaching we could possibly lose the lot!! The call went out via WhatsApp and mobiles for members to respond. This was the fastest way to get the message out to all Active patrolling members. With the help of Garth Taylor, Jarrod Phillips and assistance of two mates Mick Raudaschl and Mark Ronald Hesse, and Mick Condon and Nigel Riley they removed all the rescue equipment to the Clubhouse and into the bush above the Boat House, a massive task. Thanks to this team is extended for their effort in the dark. Great job! Members of Patrol 4 – returning all the equipment back to the Boat House for the start of patrol the following Sunday!
