DPOL® is a compact, highly efficient solution engineered to keep marinas clean by continuously attracting and collecting solid and liquid waste, including hydrocarbons, using a strong surface current to draw waste into a durable net. SOUTHPORT YACHT CLUB MARINA SET TO TRANSFORM Southport Yacht Club Marina on the Gold Coast, Queensland is set to undergo significant transformation with Marine Structures being contracted to complete the project. Following the installation of the club’s mega yacht berth, which has drawn some of the world’s most luxurious superyachts to the region, the next stage of redevelopment is set to transform the entire marina into a state-of-the-art facility. The upgraded marina will feature a 273-berth layout, with a staged replacement of seven piers and more than 250 pontoons, including several dedicated superyacht berths. Marine Structures will deploy its range of low-maintenance commercial pontoon systems providing durability, performance, and long-term value. Key to the redevelopment are the Mega Elite and Super Elite pontoon systems. “Our Superior pontoons with external structural beams deliver exceptional structural integrity and stability,” said Marine Structures Director John Hogan. “With greater mass, and smarter concrete and GFRP reinforcement design, these pontoons are engineered to perform and built to stand the test of time.” The pontoons feature a unique five-sided design and proprietary joining technology, delivering a high degree of structural integrity and stability.
