To be nominated by the business or an employee. Business
demonstrating a high degree of commitment to the employment of
trainees and/or apprentices. Businesses will need to be prepared to
provide details of employees fitting in the trainee/apprentice categories.

Businesses providing hospitality services including motels, hotels, clubs,
food outlets and restaurants.
Manufacturing/Industrial/Agribusiness
Businesses that demonstrate excellence and innovation in product
technology, expertise and customer service.
Medical and Health Related Services
Enterprises supplying medical and health related services.
Retailing
Retail businesses, including franchises that demonstrate best practice
with respect to customer service, marketing, product knowledge and
presentation. Winner will receive an advertising prize worth $400 from
2VM Radio.
Not for Profit/Community Organisation
Entrants must qualify under the Government ruling to be a Not for Profit
business or organisation
Trade/Service
Trade of Service that demonstrates best practice with respect to
customer service, marketing, product knowledge and presentation
Home Based Business
The business must undertake its services or sell its product at the home
location.
Tourism
Business demonstrating innovation in product technology or human
resources.
Innovation in Business
A business demonstrating innovation in its business practices, IT
product, technology or human services.
Business Supporting Local Business
Business that can demonstrate support of other local businesses
through networking, purchasing, information sharing or co-operation.
Employer of Choice (up to 5 employees)
To be nominated by an employee. Demonstrated excellence in
customer service and contribution to the wider community.
Employer of Choice (more than 5 employees)
To be nominated by an employee. Demonstrated excellence in
customer service and contribution to the wider community.
Best New Business
A business that has commenced its operations in the Narrabri
district between September 2012 and September 2014.
Customer Service
A business who has continually shown exceptional customer
services.
NextGen Young person in Business
A young person (35 years and younger) who owns, operates, or
is employed in business and has shown exceptional work ethic,
passion and enthusiasm for his or her industry.
