@ Maverick Cafe’s Spring Feast | Oct 21st

A special four course Spring Feast was

held at Maverick Cafe in October with

a selection of

Rhys Gard’s

homemade

“Claude & Coco” cheeses making a

stunning debut. Cricket superstar

Nick

Smart

was in attendance with

Gerri

Cruckshank

,

Brook Gard

and

Jason

Statham’s

stunt double,

Rhys Hayne

. In

a coup for the Maverick,

Jock

and

Marg

McFee

were so impressed with the food,

they waived their appearance fee... as

did

Luke Morgan

and

Isabelle Madden,

despite adding to the event’s collective

celebrity, and for the same reason!

@ WW&DPC 50th Anniversary | Oct 15th

Wee Waa & District Pony Club recently

celebrated their 50th Anniversary and

held a gala marquee event involving a

delicious two course meal prepared by

Connie Smith with waiting duties amply

provided by some of the older members

of the current Pony Club. Entertainment

included the talents of Isabelle Madden

and Steve Druce. Around 150 guests

enjoyed the festivities and included:

Tyler, Tracey, Trent & Rhys Mortimer;

Laura Baguley and Leah Baguley;

Jayne O’Neill and Ellie May Hatton;

@ Bogans’ Date Night | Oct 22nd

A “Bogan Date Night” was held as a

fundraiser for the Narrabri High School

Cambodia 2016 Housebuilding Team.

Dallying Dazzas and Shazzas responded

in numbers not seen since the Sunnyvale

riots. The event had everything... best

(worst) dressed, air guitar, lip sync and

bingo competitions. Among the rabble

were

Michelle O’Connor

,

Fiona Tew

,

Shane Riley

,

Louise Penberthy

,

Clayton

Browning

and

Janine Hedley

. Pictured

bludging with

Brett Nolan

(on Page 2),

Dean Hancock’s

“garbo” skills were

sorely missed in the ablution facilities!
