The Royal Australian and New Zealand
College of Radiologists (RANZCR) is
pleased to present ‘Evidence Based
Radiation Oncology: How to evaluate
the scientific evidence and apply it to
daily practice’ from 19–22 November at
the Parkroyal Hotel, Sydney, Australia.
This clinical refresher course is jointly
hosted by the European Society
for Therapeutic Radiology and
Oncology (ESTRO) School, the premier
organisation for radiation oncology
education in Europe, and the RANZCR
Faculty of Radiation Oncology. This is
the first time that the course will be held
in Australia.
The four-day course will be a fantastic
opportunity for current Fellows and
trainees to review and discuss the
latest evidence in the literature with
both international and local radiation
oncology experts. The course will
explore the evidence basis behind the
indications for radiotherapy, and the
RT techniques for commonly occurring
malignancies. Illustrative cases will be
integrated into each sub-site session
and will form the basis for discussion.
In addition, this year will be the first
year in the course history to include the
sub-sites, skin and CNS. The course is
aimed at trainees who are preparing for
their Phase 2 examinations and Fellows
who wish to review and refresh their
knowledge.
