for the 2016 ASM

Registration now open – take advantage

of the discounted rates

On behalf of the Organising Committee

we are excited to welcome you to

register for the 2016 ASM to be held

on the beautiful Gold Coast from 13–16

October. Please join us for a conference

that includes an inspirational list of

international speakers who, together

with world-class local presenters, will

share their vision of modern imaging

and radiation therapy.

You can register now at

ranzcr2016.com

to obtain the discounted early bird

registration rates and secure your place

in the exciting workshops that are on

offer as part of this year’s program. Also,

don’t forget to book your place at the

social and networking functions that

complement the scientific program.

The call for abstracts has now closed

with a total of 272 submissions received,

comprised of 192 within radiology and

77 in radiation oncology. Successful

abstracts will be incorporated into the

program along with presentations by

the outstanding keynote and invited

speakers. The program will reflect

the committee’s belief that strong

collaboration with clinical colleagues

is fundamental to the appropriate and

targeted use of modern imaging and

radiation therapy to produce the best

patient outcomes. To view the program

The highly successful BREAST

Workshops will be on offer again in 2016

as well as CPR Workshops. Places are

limited, therefore we encourage you

to register early to avoid missing out!

Please refer to the meeting website for

full details including workshop fees at

ranzcr2016.com/workshops.

Radiologists attending the event will

enjoy presentations by keynote speakers

Dr Russell Fritz, Professor Fiona Gilbert,

Professor Meng Law, Dr Claude Sirlin

as well as international guest speaker

Associate Professor Mahesh Thapa.

These will stand alongside a large list of

outstanding national presenters.

Highlights of the radiation oncology

program will include presentations

from keynote speakers Dr Silvia

Formenti, Dr Colleen Lawton and

Professor William Mendenhall. The

exciting program will also feature

presentations from the current ESTRO

President Professor Yolande Lievens,

interventional radiologist Professor

Andy Adam and a host of invited

national presenters. Program sessions

will focus on the management of head

and neck, genitourinary and breast

cancers, as well as the emerging role of

immunotherapies used in combination

with radiation therapy.

The social program is shaping up to be

an excellent opportunity to catch up

with old friends and network with new

industry colleagues at the numerous

social functions. Keeping within the

glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast,

the theme for the Gala Dinner this year

is ‘A touch of bling’, with delegates

encouraged to come dressed to

impress!

For those looking to keep fit while at

the conference, the Targeting Cancer

Fun Run is on the Saturday morning

starting at Pratten Park Broadbeach at

6 am. The cost to participate is $30.00

including GST per person, and is open

to delegates and guests of delegates

(colleagues, family, friends, etc.). You can

register for the fun run when completing

your conference registration.
