The call for abstracts has now closed
with a total of 272 submissions received,
comprised of 192 within radiology and
77 in radiation oncology. Successful
abstracts will be incorporated into the
program along with presentations by
the outstanding keynote and invited
speakers. The program will reflect
the committee’s belief that strong
collaboration with clinical colleagues
is fundamental to the appropriate and
targeted use of modern imaging and
radiation therapy to produce the best

The highly successful BREAST
Workshops will be on offer again in 2016
as well as CPR Workshops. Places are
limited, therefore we encourage you
to register early to avoid missing out!

enjoy presentations by keynote speakers
Dr Russell Fritz, Professor Fiona Gilbert,
Professor Meng Law, Dr Claude Sirlin
as well as international guest speaker
Associate Professor Mahesh Thapa.
These will stand alongside a large list of
outstanding national presenters.
Highlights of the radiation oncology
program will include presentations
from keynote speakers Dr Silvia
Formenti, Dr Colleen Lawton and
Professor William Mendenhall. The
exciting program will also feature
presentations from the current ESTRO
President Professor Yolande Lievens,
interventional radiologist Professor
Andy Adam and a host of invited
national presenters. Program sessions
will focus on the management of head
and neck, genitourinary and breast
cancers, as well as the emerging role of
immunotherapies used in combination
with radiation therapy.
The social program is shaping up to be
an excellent opportunity to catch up
with old friends and network with new
industry colleagues at the numerous
social functions. Keeping within the
glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast,
the theme for the Gala Dinner this year
is ‘A touch of bling’, with delegates
encouraged to come dressed to
impress!
For those looking to keep fit while at
the conference, the Targeting Cancer
Fun Run is on the Saturday morning
starting at Pratten Park Broadbeach at
6 am. The cost to participate is $30.00
including GST per person, and is open
to delegates and guests of delegates
(colleagues, family, friends, etc.). You can
register for the fun run when completing
your conference registration.
