CHARTER
We, the undersigned, in response to the
Decree on the Laity and in accordance with the
directives of the Diocese of Wollongong, assume
full responsibility and accountability, as the
Parish Council, to lead Mary Immaculate Parish
in building and sustaining a community of
celebration, which reflects all that we are called
to live in His Name.
For the parishioners to recognise the Parish
Council as the leadership voice of our
community it is imperative we publicly state
where and howwe intend to lead. In discerning
where we can best use our leadership talents and
in considering what would best serve the needs
of our parish we have committed ourselves to
achieve the following:

• As we are all companions on the journey
to Christ, we the Parish Pastoral Council,
commit to actively embrace the leadership
role entrusted to us;
• We commit to celebrate our diversity while
being unified in strengthening the bonds
between all cultures, groups, organisations
and individuals within the Parish;
• We commit to initiate and further develop the
ministries, which will provide opportunities
for people to serve in order to respond to the
needs of the community;
• We commit to making a difference by
celebrating our faith with daring conviction
and by touching the spirit of all parishioners.
