hen appointed to
the very privileged
position of Principal of Mary
Immaculate in June 2012, I
immediately witnessed the
great sense of community
within this very multicultural
school and parish community.
The various cultures present within our school
give it a unique dimension.
The make-up of our community is not the only
thing that has changed over the past 30 years.
The learning and teaching within the school has
also changed immensely and this has led to the
need to update and refurbish the school plant in
order to allow for a 21st century curriculum to be
accessed by the staff and children.
Over the next few years we will see a newMary
Immaculate emerge. Much planning has taken
place over the last three years, and the first of our

knock-down and rebuilds will take place in the
latter part of this year, 2016. It is exciting times
for our school community.
With the development of the Macarthur region
we also have to plan for growth in student
numbers as we endeavour to provide a quality
Catholic Education for the Catholic children
within Eagle Vale and surrounding suburbs.
When looking back over the past 30 years
I acknowledge the great work the staff,
parents, students and parish community have
undertaken, and I look forward to what the
future has in store.
I pray that our school, Mary Immaculate
Catholic Parish Primary School, continues to
prosper and give witness to the mission of our
Catholic Church.

School Principal
(2012 – current)
