Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) says the
Independence Expo will showcase how people
with physical disabilities can live independently
and offers an opportunity to find new ways to
enhance their lives with products, equipment
and technology on display, demonstrations
and workshops.
Information about lifestyle options such
as travel, sport, art and music will also be
available.

The Expo runs from Friday 15 April to
Saturday 16 April, 10.00am – 4.00pm, at
Australian Technology Park, Sydney.

have joined forces for
a workshop about water
and energy tailored for people
with a disability and older people.
ParaQuad NSW is hosting the workshop for members
FREE of charge.
The workshop will cover basics such as understanding
the energy and water sector, describing common
problems and how they may be resolved and how to
recognise energy and marketing scams.
You can also hear about:
• Affordability issues and what help is available for
customers struggling to pay their energy
and water bills
• Referral points, vouchers and assistance programs
• Eligibility for energy rebates including life support and
medical rebates
• Access to retailers’ hardship programs
and other initiatives
• Negotiation skills and more.
