From the President
I hope you have all survived the Christmas and New Year break and
are looking forward to taking part in the VSCC activities planned for
2016.
It has been business as usual over the festive season for the Club
committees working on planning to ensure the program and
administration runs smoothly this year.
Should you have concerns relating to the Club I have listed the
responsibilities of the management team so you know who to
approach for advice.
Len Kidd and Mark Jones have just joined the Committee and will be valuable additions to
a very capable and enthusiastic team. Len will be assisting Ed Farrar, the Chief Whip and
meeting time-keeper, in the planning of the 30th celebrations.
Paul Bartlett is the chairperson of the Competition Committee and is assisted by Brad
Peters.
Ron Fabry is an MG tragic, Clubhouse manager and organizer of the “Caversham Car”
project.
Mike Barnes is responsible for regalia and giving out freebies.
Craig Bradke organizes the social events, general meetings and tells lousy jokes.
Mark Jones is the Club Librarian and moonlights as a discoverer of barn-find cars.
Lou Symes is the Chairperson of the Caversham Committee and a smooth operator. His
renowned diplomatic skills and charm have won us significant progress in the quest to
preserve the “D” circuit.
Treasurer Rad Dickerson’s significant presence keeps our spending under control.
Secretary, David Moir, corrects the Pres’s spelling and manages all things secretarial.
I would also like to welcome Peter Harrold as a new member of the Competition
Committee. Peter, as owner of several Datsuns, is obviously highly credentialed and has
been tasked with ensuring meeting decorum.
I’m looking forward to meeting you on the 1st of February at the General Meeting-cum-
Trophy night. Craig has a special car on display and supper will be provided by Ed and Cris.
