Dad's Army News
Dad's Army Christmas Trip by Ron Fabry
Well we all met at Bruce Jones work shop
and had a look at his latest build which is
single seater, front engine car powered by
a Jaguar motor this time, another one of
Bruce's creations and it's looking good!
Anyway back to our story, all the guys
car pooled and headed off to Jurien.
There were 34 people in all and we set sail
just after 8 am arriving at Jurien just after
10 am. Terry le May and Kevin Dorn left early to
set up morning tea for our arrival(see above).
Thanks Guys for your help.
The Ian Boyd collection is one of a kind as the
photographs on the next few pages show.
After a couple of hours we headed to Cervantes
for fish and chips and a couple of drinks to
celebrate Christmas and another great year of
working with a great group of like minded guys
in our VSCC Dad's Army Group.
And the lady at the Cervantes Fish & Chip
Shop thinks we are great guys after ordering 34
single serves of fish and chips. I think we can all
recommend this shop if you are heading to
Cervantes in the near future!
Once again I need to thank Graeme Whitehead
for the effort he has put into this event and the
help he has given me with organising Dad's
Army in 2015!
More photographs from Ian's amazing
collection over the next three pages.
