To conclude the very full 2016 ASFA Conference program on a fun note, we are excited to present
another Grand Finale you won’t forget, hosted by our very own Jane Kennedy and featuring
international comedian, David Strassman.
With a string of hit television shows and Australia’s favourite movie behind her, Jane Kennedy has
managed to appear on radio and TV as well as fit in writing four cook books – all while raising five
young children! So what does it take to measure up in the fiercely competitive entertainment industry
whilst juggling life as a working mum? Jane will share stories of the laughter and tears that have paved
the way.
David Strassman is the dark-edged, avant-garde artist who has reinvented the art of ventriloquism
and been heralded by The Scotsman as having “made ventriloquism cool again”. Accompanied by
his “renegade band of puppets” like lovable Ted E Bare, he creates a multi-layered performance that
combines a unique perspective with jaw-achingly funny material. You’ll forget this is actually a one-
man show!
