LEADER OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REPORT
The Catholic Life of our
College and the Religious
Education program has
continued to be dynamic and
vibrant in 2015.This year has
seen the continued rollout of
the revised syllabus in Years
7 and 8 and has seen our
students engage in range of
activities inside and outside
of our College.
This year included an enhanced reflection day program
that included guest speakers from Catholic Mission,
a visit to St Mary of the Cross MacKillop museum
and theology through music. We have celebrated
Mass together in RE classes, in year groups and as
a school as a whole through celebrations such as
Commencement Mass and Mercy
Day.Wehave also
prayed together the Stations of the Cross and taken
up the Angelus as a time when we join with other
Catholics in proclaiming our faith.
Once again students from OLMC have enjoyed
community outreach initiatives including participating
in Care and Concern dinners and visiting our local
nursing home, Stella Maris.
Thank you to our College Community for your
generous support of Project Compassion and
Christmas Hampers for our local community.
Mrs Letitia Layton
Leader of Religious Education
