and it was carried. Letter to be constructed and sent to CAMS Melbourne and WA Branch.

“By resolution of the Club, question if it should remain an affiliated club of CAMS if CAMS

is unwilling or unable to provide satisfaction on this matter.”

Again lengthy discussion was held as to the merits and implications of this statement and it

was pointed out that club affiliation fees will be due soon usually Oct 12 – Dec 12th so

Management committee will have to make a decision upon response of proposed letter

(PART 1).

Part 3:

Was withdrawn as this stage after discussion. It was pointed out that under its

Constitution the VSCC can expel a member if the Management Committee decides that the

member has bought detriment to the club, presents the matter to a General Meeting, and the

Members vote for it.

Tuesday 27 October is Dad Army day and all welcome.

Cavo car still a work in progress back lights now on and control panel work finalised.

Printer did an overprint of last months’ Vintage Metal (no charge) so asked members to

take as many as they wished and spread them around, great advertising.

– Thursday 3rd December a visit to Ian Boyd

Vincent motorcycles collection at Jurien Bay. Boys took a run up and check it out and were

blown away with the collection and presentation. It is proposed to car pool leaving from

Bruce Jones place in Morley (suggested if passenger offer driver some money for fuel) cost

otherwise will be $25.00 per head. And discount for Dad’s Army crew. So put on your

calendar and let Graeme Whitehead know if you wish to attend (for catering purposes).

will be Xmas Social/Sundowner at Caversham.

Music and fun and opportunity to run your concessional car. Starts at 2 pm, with music and

great fellowship. BYO nibbles and bar will be open.

will be held at Doubleview Bowling Club and will be known

as “CHRISTMAS WIND UP” not Ladies

Night. So bring your partner and enjoy a light fun

social evening with brief meeting and welcome glass of sparkling wine for the partner.

Suggestion of maybe barefoot bowls game as well.

LIBRARY UPDATE:

Mark Jones reported always new books arriving and if number from

spine is missing please check number on inside page to record your borrowing.

He also has been having long discussions with Don Hall about after war model areo engines

and how once money was more readily available people moved to cars etc and he was given

a copy of CERTIFICATE for State Champion Speed line for Gary Cooper in Elfin cars which

will be hung in the clubrooms.
