10. General Business:
a) Associations Incorporation Act
– David Moir reported that Mike Upton and he had
attended a seminar on changes to the Act and outlined the implications for the club’s
constitution to be completed within the next three years.
b) Local Government support for motor-sport
– some discussion on the shire councils of
Albany and Bunbury supporting motor-sport with events planned for the Albany Airport
and the Bunbury industrial area.
c) Age Limit for Vehicles
– some discussion on whether we should have a fixed or rolling
age limit for vehicles competing in regularity events to attract younger competitors; to be
considered by the eligibility group referred to above
d) Supper for next meeting:
Doug Vanzetti offered to provide supper at the July meeting
11. Guest speaker
– Craig Atkins spoke on the history of Morgan Three-Wheelers and his
1934 Vintage Sports model (with a 1000 cc J.A.P. twin-cylinder engine) which he had on
display.
