YERIN APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

The Board of Yerin Aboriginal Health

Services Inc. is pleased to announce the

appointment of Belinda Field as Chief

Executive Officer, effective 6 May 2016.

In 2015, Belinda was appointed as the

Acting General Manager, and during

that time she was instrumental in making

significant improvements to Yerin’s

programs and services, enhancing service

access for our community and improving

business and operational processes.

Since

her

appointment,

Belinda

has established new and emerging

partnerships with key organisations and

services, and improved relationships with

all of our stakeholders, placing Yerin and

the Eleanor Duncan Health Centre as a

preferred service for Aboriginal and Torres

Strait Islander people residing on the

Central Coast.

Belinda has established exceptional

management and staff teams in frontline

positions that possess expertise in

working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait

Islander communities, who demonstrate

their passion and commitment to Closing

the Gap in health disparities.

Reflecting on her appointment, Belinda

said “I am honoured and excited to lead

this wonderful organisation.

“I am determined to continue Yerin’s

momentum – the teams at Yerin have a

unique blend of culture, innovation and

diversity that underpins the great work we

all do in our community.”

Vickie Parry, Chairperson for Yerin said,

GETTING TO KNOW MINGALETTA

Meaning “meeting place”, Mingaletta

is the only Indigenous entity located on

the southern end of the Central Coast.

They are committed to supporting both

the local and wider community in every

way possible.

Mingaletta aims to have its members and

their families enjoy an improved quality of

life, through access to education, medical

services and cultural affirmation in a safe

and welcoming environment. Mingaletta

offers a variety of programs and services:

EVENTS

Mingaletta has two exciting upcoming

events planned for the community on the

Central Coast.

CULTURAL DAY

Mingaletta will host a cultural day to

welcome the community. This experience

will include talks from guest speakers,

presentations from Elders, traditional food,

dance and storytelling. The event will

be held on Sunday 22 January 2017

from 9am.

STORYTELLING EVENING

Mingaletta will also hold a storytelling

evening in the first half of 2017. There will

be traditional bush tucker and a campfire,

plus Dianne O’Brien, or Aunty Di, will share

their childhood stories including growing

up on a mission and her life experiences.
