2016 KOGARAH ART PRIZE
The annual Kogarah Art Prize was a huge success this year, with over
200 entries received from across the country and seven from within the
Georges River LGA.A total of 39 works were selected to hang in the
Finalists’ Exhibition at Kogarah Library and Cultural Centre.This year’s
judge was Dr Gene Sherman,AM. Dr Sherman was delighted by the
calibre of entries to the Kogarah Prize.
“Among the several hundred applicants I found a number of fully
resolved works which were focused images with strong visual impact,
compositional awareness and competence, accomplished technique, and
above all an original perspective on the subject matter.”
