SPECIAL PERFORMANCES
Michael Dimovski
Michael Dimovski is a young and upcoming
vocalist from Geelong who specialises in
a range of musical styles including opera,
art song, music theatre, contemporary and
jazz music. Michael is currently completing
his Bachelor of Music Voice Performance
at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
He has performed at a range of various
events in the last year, most recently being
a featured artist in the Melbourne Festival,
a number of operatic performances and
solo events across Victoria.
Australian Macedonian
Theatre of Sydney
The Australian Macedonian Theatre of
Sydney is a community organisation formed
in 2008 with the aim to promote theatre
and stage production. Its main objectives
are to bring people together who are active
and creative in stage production, drama,
theatre, music, film, and creative writing.
The group promotes community through
theatrical, film and festival environments
and supports Macedonian artists, directors,
actors, writers and designers.
Maja Naumoska
After performing for a number of years with
the Australian Theatre for Young People,
Maja recorded several songs with Tode
Novacevski including “Solzi” and “Molitva”.
In 2002, she was the supporting act for
Tose Proeski’s tour in Sydney. Maja studied
Jazz Voice at the Sydney Conservatorium
of Music, and gigged around Sydney with
an alternative rock band. Her repertoire
has expanded to Macedonian Byzantine
liturgical music. She was choir director at
Holy Mother of God Church in Liverpool,
and currently sings at Saint Petka Church
in Rockdale.
Perfect 5th Choir
Perfect 5th is a (non-Macedonian)
cappella group from Marrickville under
the directorship of Gemma Turner. The
community group’s repertoire includes
a range of material from world music to
contemporary songwriters. They welcome
singers of all types and levels
of experience.
