d) Recognition of officials
– it was suggested that the club do more to recognise those who
assist as officials at club events to encourage more to be involved. Ross Oxwell indicated that
Albany officials already received the clubs recognition for their efforts.
e) Classic Car Show
– Graeme Whitehead is seeking nominations from members to display
vehicles at the Shannons Classic Car Show at Whiteman Park on 17th April.
11. Guest speaker
– Paul Bartlett introduced Larry Coyle who spoke about the Lonsdale
Special, a “TQ” racer which competed in the 1940s, 50s and 60s. The Lonsdale Special was
on display in the clubrooms during the meeting.
