It was a
fascinating
presentation
and gave a unique insight into the man and the machine
behind the Land Speed Record attempt.
Ron Fabry made a presentation to Rosco of a metal VSCC
badge and a donation from the club to the Aussie Invader
Project.
After a great morning with Rosco and his team the Dad's
Army party repaired to Nino's Fish Bar and Café for lunch,
where several of us discovered "Senior's Fish and Chips"
and a good time was had by all.
Cleaning Up After Break-Ins, Etc
Dad's Army descended on the Caversham clubrooms after the latest break-in to tidy up the
mess and to improve the security of the premises. Particular attention was paid to making
sure that anything of value was placed in the most secure parts of the building. They also
moved donated tools into the workshop.
Other work has included fitting a much stronger back door to the kitchen and fitting much
stronger locks to doors that were considered strong enough in there construction but were
otherwise poorly secured.
As if a V8 powered bike was not
crazy enough!
A prominent board in the workshop thanks those
who have helped with the Aussie Invader 5R
