The next competition event run by the VSCC is fast approaching with the Collie Coalfields
500 on October 1 and 2. The entry forms and supplementary regulations are available on the
club website and entries will close on September 9, so please remember to get your entry in
early. The program for the two-day event will include race, regularity and a hillclimb at this
stage.
CAMS has released a new policy covering passengers in vehicles at motorsport events. The
CAMS Motor Sport Passenger Ride Activity (MSPRA) policy provides definitions of what
constitutes a MSPRA and administrative procedures required to run MSPRA. The policy is
effective from 1 July 2016. If you are interested in finding out more about the policy details
are available on the CAMS website.
www.cams.com.auThe Competition Committee welcomes a newest member Barry MacIntosh. Barry has
agreed to step into the role of Chief Scrutineer which was recently vacated by Robbie
Rhoades. I am sure everybody wishes Barry well in his new role. We are still looking for
someone to take on the role of Event Secretary. Whilst there may seem to be a lot involved
with the role you will be part of the team organising the club events. You will need some
secretarial skills as the role will require completing and collating data required for the
running of the clubs events. Give me a call if you would like to discuss further.

Competition Committee Update
30th Anniversary Club Celebrations
Back to York Run
The back to York 30th Anniversary celebrations will be held on Sunday, 11th September,
2016.
Bring your own picnic/BBQ and preferably your own seating as there are only limited
seating and tables available on the river foreshore (Low Street). Also on the foreshore is a
café/hot dog/coffee stand. A short stroll to the main street will bring you to hotels,
restaurants, cafés, coffee shops etc.
If members and partners would like to travel up in convoy a suggested place to assemble
would be at the Old Stone House Garage on Great Eastern Hwy. It is approximately 2KM
east of Sawyers Valley on the left hand side and signposted Stonehouse LP (Loop). Toilets
at this location are available but not the best courtesy of Mr Geoff Elmer. I suggest if toilet
stop is required use the Puma Service Station facilities at Sawyers Valley.
Again, I suggest arriving at Stonehouse at 9.45 – 10.00am for a 10.15 -10.30am departure.
On arrival in York a parking area will be made available for us in Low Street, behind the old
Court House. the car park has a hard surface and club bunting will be erected in the area
showing vehicles where to park.
On this particular weekend York is holding a Fair on the 10th and 11th with markets, arts,
workshops etc. on the Sunday. For further information regarding the Fair contact the
Co-ordinator Jenny on 0419707755.
Members to return home at their own pace and time.
