So far we have had one Family Chal-
lenge this year, held on Sunday 15th
May. Twenty-five families took part in 4
keenly and closely contested divisions.
played at Talus Street.
Players ranged in age from 8 to 80,
with Henry Fong (Melissa Gock’s) dad
being our oldest ... and a winner!!! We
had lots of sons and dads, mums and
daughters, some sisters and brothers,
brothers, even aunts/uncles and neph-
ews. Steve Tozer put in a long overdue
appearance with nephew Nicholas, and
it was wonderful to have the whole Tozer
family, including grandparents Cliff and
Pauline supporting from the sidelines.
Winners of Div 1 were aunt and neph-
ew combination, Susan Parfett & Josh-
ua Darouti, with Otto & Martin Jandera
runners up. Troy & Garry Delmege
came an admirable third, after a hefty
handicap per courtesy the Tournament
organiser. Brothers were winner and
runners up in Div 2 - Jonas & Jerome
Abeleda 1st and Nathan & Dominik Kerr
2nd. Yao & Xiao Jiang were winners of
Div 3 by one game over Baley & Kendall
Tucker, while Henry & Lisa Faddy were
comfortable winners of Div 4 where our

It was a great
afternoon of
tennis with our
younger play-
ers acquitting
themselves ex-
tremely compe-
tently against
the adults, and
thoroughly en-
joying the experience.
We look forward to
seeing everyone back
for our Term 3 Challenge
on 11th September.
