CARSS BUSH PARK SEAWALL REINVIGORATES

KOGARAH BAY

The Carss Bush Park seawall project, which was completed earlier

in 2016, is now established as part of the landscape and the cycle and

walking track is also complete.A variety of flora and fauna are now

settling in to the new environment, with early establishment species

including the endangered saltmarsh ecological community.

Visitors to Carss Bush Park shouldn’t miss the opportunity to explore

this beautiful stretch by Kogarah Bay, which has opened up a new part of

the park to the community.

MORTDALE SET TO RECEIVE NEW RECYCLING FACILITY

Georges River Council, in partnership with Rockdale City Council, will see the

building of a new recycling centre funded by the NSW Government’sWaste Less,

Recycle More initiative.The two Councils received over $164,000 in funding towards

this project.

The St George Community Recycling Facility will benefit the entire St George region,

allowing residents to dispose of paint, oil, batteries, gas cylinders, fluorescent lamps and

conventional tubes, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers.

The recycling facility will be located at Depot Road, Mortdale.
