4 Induction Guide | New Employee

Ignite is the Bupa Aged Care Induction Program.

Ignite has been designed to support new employees and includes four core module:

1.

Care Home stream;

2.

Leadership stream;

3.

Corporate Office stream;

4.

Commissioning Care Home stream for all our new Care Homes.

Philosophy and approach

Ignite is not a traditional induction program. It has been designed to ensure that we offer all our new

employees an engaging journey, allowing each person to deepen their knowledge of the business,

including connections with co-workers to quickly become a part of our Bupa Aged Care family.

Our approach to Induction is focused on four pillars:

Connection.

Making sure that you receive all the relevant information you need in order to help

you navigate your way in your new role and to give you the ability to quickly develop the networks

you need to be able to access resources, establish valuable connections, and be clear on where to

go for information, tools or resources.

Culture.

Helping you become acquainted with Bupa Aged Care and to give you a sense of

who we are, how we work, our values and expectations.

Competency.

Ensuring that you receive the relevant information and training you require in order

for you to be successful in your new role.

Compliance.

Learning about relevant legislation in the Aged Care industry, our rules, policies, work

instructions and regulations. Ensuring that you receive all the required training to meet the Aged

Care Accreditation Standards.
