Student Support Report
A guiding principle at OLMC
is to support the needs of
all students and to assist
them in realising their full
potential. Students at OLMC
are supported within their
learning environment and
strategies are made to meet
their individual learning
abilities.
In my role as the Learning
Support teacher, it can be both exciting and
challenging! Our experienced team, Allison Dutton,
Janelle Airey and Maureen McNeill (Learning Support
officers) endeavour to provide our students with
direction, tools and management skills needed to
achieve success with the best possible outcomes.
Support is provided on a one to one basis, in small
groups, both in and out of the classroom and through
the reading program.
The success of the resource room would not be
possible without the dedication, caring and patience
of our wonderful volunteers, who willingly assist our
Year 7 students and their reading.
It has been another busy but successful year. Our team
is encouraged by the academic and emotional growth
of many students over the past twelve months. We
look forward to working with our OLMC families
again in 2016. Finally, good luck to our Year 10 class
of 2015, we wish them the very best for their futures.
