ii) The competition calendar for 2017 has been set with a similar format of events

as this year, except for the Goomalling Sprint that is held every second year.

b) 30th Anniversary

Paul Blank spoke on the Celebration of the Motorcar at the Cottesloe Civic Centre

on 27 November; he expected around 150 cars for display and had 17 cars for the VSCC

display.

c) Workshop –

Ron Fabry reported that:

The project car is proceeding well with good support from members; its engine was

started for the first time last Saturday; the next step was to strip it for painting.

The “Dad’s Army” Christmas party on 6 December is at the Bus Preservation

Society at Whiteman Park.

There had been several further break-ins at the clubrooms.

d) Library –

Paul Wilkins promoted the new book by Graeme Cocks which the club had

purchased

e) Social –

nil

f) Regalia –

Mike Barnes reported that:

He would have some new jackets available next year

Name badges were awaiting collection by those who had ordered them.

g) Caversham:

Lou Symes reported that he had met with Lend Lease and Peet & Co as the

developers vying for the residential development of the Caversham area

10. General Business:

a) Review of Classic Car Show –

Graeme Whitehead spoke on the review by the CMC of

the annual event at Whiteman Park

11. Guest speaker –

Mark Duder spoke on his rallying career and his Alpine A110 that was

on display

Monday 5 December – 30th Anniversary Dinner then Monday 6

February 2017
