Measuring our system at a global and local level: the
Productivity Commission review and beyond
Arena 1B, Ground Floor
Richard Jackson will discuss the progress that different countries are making in meeting what is
shaping up to be one of the defining challenges of the 21st century. He will draw on the findings of
the Global Aging Preparedness Index, a unique new tool for assessing the sustainability and adequacy
of retirement systems worldwide.
Keith Ambachtsheer will compare the performance of various pension industries—including
Australia’s—by sharing new data collected via CEM Benchmarking models.
Catherine Nance will share her insight on the Productivity Commission’s work on measuring efficiency
of the industry and of individual funds. She will give her perspective on whether these measures will
work or not.
