Fund transformation:
building individual relationships with members

In this session you’ll hear a first-hand account of how two pension funds (local and international) are
transforming their funds. Dr Geraldine Leegwater will build on her keynote presentation and discuss
the risks and opportunities her pension fund met as it transformed. The transformation involved both
changing the governance structure of the fund as well as the type of pension contracts in place.
Michael Dundon will then share the VicSuper journey of how to make each member feel special. For
both leaders, their challenges include driving an organisation-wide change program and developing
strong technology foundations to develop a personal relationship with fund members.
