Workplace responsibilities

Work Instructions (WI’s)

WI’s are official Bupa Aged Care documents that will inform you of repeatable processes that you

will complete in your role to deliver the best outcomes to all residents.

There are many work instructions within our homes and you will gradually become familiar with all of

them. Initially, it is important that you review and read the following:

WI PM – 0.5 Drug and alcohol

WI PM - 07.1 Uniform Ordering (includes policy)

WI PM – 03.8 Workplace Harassment

You can access WIs via the staff kiosk or by logging onto the care home computers.

Code of ethics

The Bupa Aged Care Australia Health Safety and Wellbeing Commitment describes our expectations

of conduct from all team members. This includes expected standards of behaviour and the values

you must uphold as a team member. Read these documents carefully and make sure you understand

how they impact on you and your job. If you have any question, please talk to your manager.

Rosters

It is your responsibility to look at your roster to ensure that you know exactly when you are required

to work. The Business Administrator will advise you if the roster has been changed for any reason

after it has been posted.

Rosters and specific shifts can only be changed by the GM. If you need to make a change to your

shift or the roster you must consult with them.

If you cannot make a rostered shift because you are sick or delayed, it is very important that, you

let your GM in advance of your shift starting. You must not make any changes to the roster or the

allocations yourself.

Important

It is unacceptable to swap or change shifts with other team

members without your GM’s or Person-in-charge permission.
